Open House provides interested families the opportunity to tour our campus; visit with administration, faculty, parents and students; and learn more about our quality academics, diverse extracurriculars, dynamic culture, community, and spiritual life that awaits your family.

Private Tours

If you prefer a personal tour given by our Director of Development, simply click the arrow below to submit a request. You will have an opportunity to tour our campus grounds including our church, experience our school culture, see school “in action”, and meet a variety of school faculty, staff, and students.

Shadow Visits

If your child would like to experience a typical day as a St. Albert Viking, you are welcome to schedule a half day shadow visit for your incoming 2nd-8th grader. We will pair your child up with a student in his/her current grade. We will even treat your child to lunch!

Current School Family Registration for New Siblings

If you are a current school family and would like to add a new student to St. Albert for the 2023/2024 school year, you will need to apply between August 15-31, 2022

St. Albert the Great Parishioner Registration Priority

If you are a current and active* parishioner at St. Albert the Great, you may apply for 2023/2024 priority registration between September 1-30, 2022. Length of membership and involvement will be taken into consideration.

 

*Current and active Parish family status, for the sake of admission, is established for practicing Roman Catholic families who have fulfilled the following requirements: 

 

  • Official registration in St. Albert the Great Parish 

  • Completion of the current year’s Stewardship Card stating your intentions for time, talent, and treasure. 

 

Even if you are an alum, a previous member under your parents household, or are currently inactive based on not returning your annual stewardship card, you will not be considered a current and active St. Albert parishioner. You must be a current and active St. Albert parishioner to apply during the parishioner priority enrollment period.

Early Registration Open to the Public

Any Catholic or non-Catholic family that applies between October 1 - November 30, 2022 will be evaluated based on the date in which we receive the completed application.To be considered “complete”, we will need to have all documents listed on the application submitted at the same time. Your application will be reviewed by our Admissions Team, and you will hear from us in January 2023 on the status of your application/next steps.

Rolling Registration

We will accept applications after December 1, 2022 on an on-going basis until we reach our class capacity. Once grades are full, we will start waitlists. Applications will be considered based on the date in which we receive the completed application. To be considered “complete”, we will need to have all documents listed on the application submitted at the same time. Your application will be reviewed by our Admissions Team once all other previous applications have been reviewed. We will then contact you on the status of your application/next steps after January 2023.

*Parishioner status, for the sake of admission and tuition rates, is established for Catholic families who have fulfilled the following requirements: Official registration in St. Albert the Great Parish and the completion of the annual Stewardship Card stating your intentions for time, talent, and treasure. The Stewardship Card MUST be returned to the Parish Office by June 1st for the upcoming school year. School administrators will have final decision authority to determine readiness for a specific grade. Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants will be required to take a readiness test prior to final acceptance. All other new students (1-8) will be accepted after records are received and interviews completed. (Archdiocese of Louisville 6372)

 

Preschool Eligibility

  • Your child must be fully potty trained by August 1st of the upcoming school year

  • Your child must be age 3 on or before August 1st of the upcoming school year to enter our Preschool 3’s class.

  • Your child must be age 4 on or before August 1st of the upcoming school year to enter our Pre-K class.

Junior Kindergarten Eligibility

  • Your child must be age 5 on or before August 1st of the upcoming school year to enter our junior kindergarten program.

  • Before acceptance is granted, we require a readiness assessment (conducted by St. Albert the Great staff) and completion of a teacher evaluation (to be filled out by the current preschool teacher). Junior kindergarten enrollment requires teacher recommendation.

 

Kindergarten Eligibility

  • Your child must be age 5 on or before August 1st of the upcoming school year to be eligible for kindergarten.

  • Before acceptance is granted, we require a readiness assessment (conducted by St. Albert the Great staff) and completion of a teacher evaluation (to be filled out by the current preschool teacher).

Grades 1-8 Eligibility

  • We recommend the student shadow for a half-day, if possible.

  • Parents and students will meet with our Administration before acceptance is granted.

 

The additional required documents for grades 1-8 must be submitted before an application is deemed “complete” and ready for review:

  1.  Copy of report cards from the past two years

  2.  Recent standardized test scores

  3. Educational/accommodation plans, evaluations, or learning/behavioral diagnoses or documentation (if applicable)

Apply to St. Albert the Great

To apply for enrollment, the following items must be submitted for each child, in order to be considered “complete” and ready for review by our Admissions Team.

  • New Student Application

  • Non-refundable application fee per student. In the event that your child is not accepted into our school, the fee will be refunded.

  • Copy of the original, state-issued birth certificate. Certificate of birth from the hospital will not be accepted.

 

Additional required documents for grades 1-8:

Tuition

Enrolling your children at St. Albert the Great is an investment in their future and a gift that will last them a lifetime. Now more than ever our children need a values-based education. They are the future of the Catholic Church and our community. Our goal is, and has always been, to work vigorously to provide your children the exceptional education you expect and deserve for your investment in St. Albert the Great Parish School.

 

The tuition we charge does not cover the cost of the education we provide. St. Albert is funded by tuition, the generous support from our Parish community, fundraising efforts from our PTO, and your gift of time and talent. 

Your tuition may be paid in full or drafted monthly. A 1% discount is offered to those families with students in grades JK – 8th.  In order to be eligible for this discount the family must complete the FACTS enrollment process by selecting the “one time payment plan” for paying the full years tuition amount for the upcoming school year.  This must be completed by June 15th with the payment drafting on July 1st.  Otherwise, tuition is paid monthly (August-May) and due on or before the first of each month. All school families are required to keep the tuition and all other school related fees and charges current. One parent will be responsible for tuition, Play Café after-school care, and all fees. Parents living in 2 separate households will not be billed separately. School payments cannot be, and will not be carried over from year to year. St. Albert the Great reserves the right to change the due date of tuition payments and method by which payments are to be paid.

Parish Family Tuition

Parish family status, for the sake of admission and tuition rates, is established for practicing Catholic families who have fulfilled the following requirements: Official registration in St. Albert the Great Parish and the completion of the current year’s Stewardship Card stating your intentions for time, talent, and treasure. Parish Families are required to pay the Parishioner Family Tuition in addition to supporting the other ministries of the Parish.

Non-Parish Tuition

All families who do not fit the definition above of a Parish Family are required to pay the

Non-parishioner Per Child Tuition.

2022 – 2023 JK-8 Tuition Rates

Parish Family with one Student – $7,140

Parish Family with Two Students – $10,260

Parish Family with Three or More Students – $12,200

Non-Parish Family – $10,010 per Student

2022 – 2023 Preschool Tuition Rates

Full Day (7:50AM - 2:45PM) – $6,650

Half Day (7:50AM - 11:15AM) – $4,120

Our preschool tuition may be an allowable deduction on your taxes. At the end of the year, statements will be sent to each family. Please check with your tax advisor for further information.

Tuition includes all fees for books, technology, and materials, except:

  • Application Fee- *$200 for check or $210 for online payment Per Child (holds your child’s place in-line)

  • Rest Mat (Full day preschool)- $15 Per Child

  • Sacramental Fee* (Grades 1,2,8)- $35/child-1st, $65/child-2nd, $120/child-8th

  • Snack Fee*- $215/child (Grades Preschool-2nd grade)

  • FACTS Management Fee- $55 for families paying monthly, $25 for families paying one time. *Fees subject to change

  • Optional After-School Care and Bus Transportation

  • Parents are responsible for school supplies, uniforms, lunch, and field trip fees.

Tuition Assistance (K-8)

We strive to ensure that our youth are able to receive a Catholic education despite the possible inability to pay. If you have a financial need, please give us an opportunity to work with you to explore all options. For this current school year, CEF, their partners, and St. Albert the Great awarded our school families over $187,000 in tuition assistance. 

 

The application process consists of completing the FACTS application and submitting supporting documentation. The application can be found on the Catholic Education Foundation’s website, www.ceflou.org. Financial assistance is available for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade, both parishioner and non-parishioner families. Confidentiality is maintained in this process. 

 

Tuition assistance applications must be submitted between November 15, 2022 - January 31, 2023 for the 2023/2024 school year. Completed applications received by the deadline will participate in the initial grant awards allocation. A much smaller amount of tuition assistance may be available for forms submitted after that date.

 

FACTS Management is an independent, third-party service that provides reasonable assessments of the ability of families to pay tuition at private and parochial schools.

Copies of the FACTS analysis and forms are shared only with the contracting parish, school or agency; no one else will receive this information. Final decisions about tuition assistance will be communicated to you from your school or from the Catholic Education Foundation.

Preschool & Junior Kindergarten students are not eligible.

After-School Care

PLAY CAFE HOURS OF OPERATION: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 2:45-6:00 P.M.


St. Albert is pleased to offer our school families quality and affordable childcare after the school day ends. Our state-licensed, on-site after-school program operates M-F when school is in session.

 

** We are closed any day school is closed or dismisses before 2:45 P.M. and any day schools are closed for inclement weather or another emergency.

For our preschoolers, after-school care is an optional extension of the day. For JK-5, our program is called Play Cafe’ and is separate from the preschool program. Students will participate in a variety of structured and unstructured activities supervised by trained staff.

Registration for Play Cafe is accepted for St. Albert the Great school families on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to current Play Cafe students and their incoming siblings. 

 

For Preschool, you must check the “Full Day w/After School Care” box on the New Student Application. Nothing more is needed at this time. 

 

For Jr. Kindergarten-5th grade, registration will be handled in the following way:

  1. Print and complete the Play Cafe’ emergency medical information sheet from the Play Cafe’ section of this website. (Each child being registered needs their own information sheet on file.)

  2. Attach to that medical information sheet, a current copy of each child’s immunization record. (The school does not supply the Play Cafe’ with copies of immunization records. Parents are responsible for supplying a separate immunization copy to the Play Cafe’.)

  3. Read the parent handbook on the Play Cafe’ portion of this website. Print and complete the last page of the handbook and submit it to the Director.

  4.  Submit the emergency medical form, the immunization certificate and the handbook forms to the director. Once the director receives ALL paperwork, your child is considered enrolled in the program and may begin to attend as needed.

  5. Complete a registration form to submit with all the above paperwork.

If your child requires the administration of ANY medication  (over the counter or prescription) ie: inhalers, Motrin etc. while at Play Cafe, you will need to submit a medication form permission slip to the director before your child begins attending the program.

Bus Transportation

St. Albert the Great School contracts with Miller Transportation to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective bus transportation for our students. Miller does their best to accommodate as many families as possible. Bus routes are communicated late summer. The cost of this service depends on the number of students signed up to ride our buses.
